Mumbai's Best Coffee Hangouts!

I 've been on my own little coffee quest across the city, trying out all sorts of places, and I've definitely found a few gems that I think you absolutely have to check out. Forget the super fancy reviews; this is just me telling you about my favorite spots and why I love them

Alright, let's chat about coffee in Mumbai! Because let's be real, a good cup of coffee isn't just a drink, it's a whole mood setter, right? And living in Mumbai, where life moves at a million miles an hour, finding that perfect spot to just breathe and sip is a game-changer.

My Personal Picks: Mumbai's Best Coffee Hangouts!

1. Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters: The OG Vibe

If you've been into specialty coffee in India for a while, you know Blue Tokai. They're basically the pioneers who got us all hooked on truly good, Indian-grown coffee. You'll find them all over the city now – Bandra, Kala Ghoda, Versova, you name it.

Why I love it:
It's their commitment to single-origin Indian beans. You can actually taste the difference! The vibe is always chill, a bit buzzing with people working or catching up, and the smell of fresh coffee roasting... divine!
What I always get: Honestly, their Pour-overs are legendary. If you want to really taste the coffee, ask them to suggest one of their single-origin beans. It's like a science experiment in a cup, and the flavors just pop. And in this heat, their Cold Brew is a lifesaver – so smooth, so refreshing. If you brew at home, grab a bag of their beans; their Attikan or Thogarihunkal estates are my usual picks.

2. Subko Coffee Roasters: The Cool Kid with Amazing Bakes

Subko is relatively new to the scene but they've exploded, and for good reason! Their main roastery and cafe in Byculla is a whole experience, but they have smaller spots too. They're super serious about Indian coffee, but what sets them apart for me is their bakes. Oh. My. Goodness.

Why I love it: They've taken Indian coffee to a whole new level of cool, and their passion for what they do is infectious. But seriously, it's the combination of their perfectly brewed coffee with their insane pastries.
What I always get: Their Flat White is usually my go-to – perfectly balanced and strong. But you absolutely, 100%, cannot leave without trying one of their Kashmir Sourdough loaves or any of their incredible croissants or unique "bakes." They are game-changers. Trust me on this one.

3. Koinonia Coffee Roasters: The Cozy Community Hub

Koinonia feels like that friendly neighborhood spot where everyone knows your name (or at least, they make you feel like they do). They've been around a while and focus on great Indian specialty coffee with a really welcoming vibe.

Why I love it: It's just so comfortable. Perfect for when you want to relax, read a book, or have a quiet chat with a friend. The baristas are super friendly, and it feels like a genuine community.

What I always get: Their classic Latte or Cappuccino is always spot on – consistently good. If you're feeling adventurous on a hot day, their Affogato (espresso poured over ice cream) is a simple indulgence that hits the spot perfectly.

So there you have it – my personal guide to some of the best coffee experiences Mumbai has to offer. Whether you're a serious coffee geek or just love a good brew in a nice spot, I hope this helps you find your next favorite!

Happy sipping, Mumbai! Let me know if you discover any new gems!
